I know that it seems like there is a lot that goes into starting a self hosted Wordpress site, but when everything is said and done, the project usually winds up being only a few hundred dollars. It is still so much better than spending thousands on an html website built from scratch. The benefit of using Wordpress is that you can get a professional looking website and blog ALL IN ONE, for a fraction of the cost.
If you are unsure of what Wordpress theme to go with, we can help! We charge $40 per hour for this service.
We will find a theme that best fits your needs. There are hundreds to choose from. Keep in mind that some themes are free, and some will cost you. The paid themes range between $50 and $100. You are better off with a paid theme because they usually come with free support and upgrades. Wordpress is always making adjustments and improvements to their database and will require you to download the updates through your admin panel. The paid themes will also offer updates so that they will be compatible in the newer versions of Wordpress. This is very important. If you go with a free theme that doesn’t offer these important updates, you may run into issues down the road and then wind up having to choose another theme and pay again for customizations. So, it is really in your best interests to pick the right theme.
