The Boring About Page Stuff
For the longest time I had one of those generic and quite boring “bio pages” that said all the normal things that a bio page should say, but I got sick of it. It wasn’t really ME. So instead of saying things like…
- We are dedicated & committed
- We are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done
- We offer one on one customer service
- We are punctual and responsive
Who We Really Are…
Those things are all great, and DPK Graphic Design does stand by all of those things, but I am also other things too, like… super organized, honest, great multi-tasker, approachable, positive, willing to get my hands dirty, willing to admit mistakes, and so much more. But I don’t think you want me to go on and on about all that. LOL
At least you know the basics.
DPK Graphic Design is not just ME and MY business. Yes, I am the business owner and chief designer, but I also have a team of awesome people who work WITH me. They are all great at what they do which frees me up so I can focus on what I am good at. I love how that works!
How We Got Started
I started DPK Graphic Design back in 2008 kinda by accident. I was running a New York based decorative painting business called Surfaces with Paint. You can check out my painting work there if you would like, but be warned that it is an old html site that I have not gotten around to updating in a VERY LONG time.
Anyway, I specialized in baby nursery murals and decorative paint finishes for high end homes in New York. But after getting married and having a couple kids (4 to be exact), I found that I was not able to get out and paint as much. So I started a Virtual Assistant business and took on clients here and there to fill in for the days that I wasn’t painting.
I had some website and graphic design experience and one of my clients had hired me to re-vamp a few of their WordPress websites. Being an artist and lover of color and design, I realized that I was in my element and I found something that I absolutely loved to do.
I decided to follow my passion and began promoting my new graphic design business on some of my favorite social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and in a very short period of time, DPK Graphic Design became a HUGE SUCCESS!
My tagline tells it all… “A Passion and Eye for Design” and that is definitely me. I am the type of person who is extremely passionate about almost anything in life, especially the little things. And I am still amazed everyday when a new client emails me looking to hire me to work with them. What a honor and a blessing that is!
Why Hire DPK Graphic Design
I really do give my all and anyone who knows me – knows that. I will do whatever it takes to make my clients happy and to create something for them that they love, because I would want the same done for me.

Totally boring, right? LOL
I am definitely on the cutting edge, but I am also a mother of FOUR small children so I can’t always do EVERYTHING. Sometimes I THINK I can, but I think the important thing about being a mom and a business owner is having BALANCE and keeping the focus where it needs to be.
If you are looking for a designer who has a bunch of degrees or 30+ years experience, that is not me. I may not be able to do all the fancy shmancy stuff, but I am still very capable and confident in the quality of work that I provide for my clients. Some Personal Stuff
My family and I just recently relocated from New York to Florida and we are living the dream. We enjoy going to the beach (which is only 5 minutes away), exploring new places, hiking, biking, camping, gardening, and pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors. And yes, those are all my kids – I am a mom of FOUR and I love it. 😉
